Navigate – Public

Here we can access various activities which can be performed in the Partner Engagement Manager (PEM) and the details are given below for each tab and steps to get into it. 

Property Description 
DIRECTORY Directory is a page where we can able to see individuals like Partner,Users,Roles,Divisions. 
Activities Activities are a page where we can able to list the things that happening in PEM like definitions, Templates, Monitoring, My activities 
Library In library we are having information services list of files with the total details like on what date and who is the owner of that file. 
Settings Settings page is where the functions that the company wants to use as well as to manage. 

 Directory: Once we click on directory, it will navigate to directory page, where we can see Partners, Users, Roles, Divisions as shown in the below screenshot. 

Property Description 
Invite A Partner registration link is provided to new partner. 
Create Setting up a partner profile with their details. 
Name of Company  Need to provide business partners organization name. 
Website Need to provide business partners domain details. 
Status Indication of partner profile Active/Inactive. 
Actions Can perform actins like View, start activity, reset password, Deactivate. 
Filter by Status – Active/ Approval pending/Inactive/Registration pending/Rejected Can view partner records with status like Active/ Approval pending/Inactive/Registration pending/Rejected using filter option. 
Filter by Invite Status – Not invited/Invited Can view partner records like Not invited/Invited using filter option. 

Partners:  

To navigate to Partners, Click on Directory -> click on Partners 

Sponsor Administrators can get a 360-degree view of all the partners within their partner communities. Line-of-business (LOB) representatives that are assigned to a division can view only the partners that are assigned to the same division. You can see the contact details and email addresses of partner administrators and partner users that you have the permission to view. You can also see the activities that are associated with the partner. 

A Sponsor Administrator can modify the profile information for a partner. LOB representatives can modify the profile information for partners who are assigned to the same division as that of the LOB representative, including assigning attributes. Modifying partner profile information might be necessary if partner contact information changes, or if incorrect information was entered by the partner or by a bulk upload of partner data.Page Break

Users: To navigate to users Click on Directory -> click on Users 

Here we If a user is inactive, you can activate the user. In the same way if we might want to deactivate a user account because the user moved to another department, because the user is on a leave of absence, or due to a security issue. 

Property Description 
Invite A User registration link is provided to new users. 
User Id (Email) Need to provide user email id details. 
Given Name Need to give name of the user. 
Surname Need to provide Surname of the user. 
Status Indication of partner profile Active/Inactive. 
Actions Can perform actins like View, edit, reset password, Deactivate. 
Filter by Status – Active/ Approval pending/ Inactive/Registration Pending/Rejected Can view User records with status like Active/ Approval pending/ Inactive/Registration Pending/Rejected using filter option. 
Search by given Name We can Search the records by selected given names. 

Roles: To navigate to Roles Click on Directory -> click on Roles 

We have both Admin and User roles where administrators can create roles for sponsor users, for partner users, or for both sponsor and partner users. Sponsor Administrators, and Partner Administrators can assign the users to roles. 

Property Description 
New Setting up a new role creation. 
Name Need to provide name to create new role.  
Description Provide description for the role if needed. 
Status Indication of Role Active/Inactive. 
Actions Can perform actions like View, edit, Assign, Deactivate. 
Filter by Scope – Both/Partner only/ Sponsor Only Can view roles with status like Both/Partner only/ Sponsor Only 
Filter by Status – Active / Inactive Can view roles with status like Active / Inactive 
Search by Role name? We can Search the records by role names. 

 Divisions: To navigate to Divisions Click on Directory -> click on Divisions 

Divisions is for managing numbers of factors like create, edit, view division details for respected authority. A default division is available in the application. When we create sponsors, a default division is created for the sponsor. 

Property Description 
Create Setting up a new division creation. 
Name Need to provide name to create new division. 
Source Type Should provide its internal or external. Default it will be Internal. 
Actions Can perform actions like edit divisions and create and delete custom fields, Identifiers, contacts. 
Filter by Source Type – External/Internal  Can view divisions with status like External/Internal using Source type option. 
Name unique ID We can Search the records by selected name/unique Id. 

 As we are done with the above navigation, we can conclude with Directory 

Activities

As soon as we click on Activities, we will be navigated to Activities page where we can see Definitions, Templates, Monitoring, My Activities as below. 

Property Description 
New  Setting up new Activity creation. 
Import Import we use when we move activity from different environment’s 
Name Need to enter name in name field. 
Encrypted Always Yes will be default as PEM Supports encrypted data 
Status Status Indication of Draft/Final. 
Actions Can perform actions like View, save as, Test, Export, Share /Unshared, Rollout 
Filter by Status – Draft/Final Can view activities with status like Draft/Final using filter option. 

 
Definitions
: To navigate to Definitions Click on Activities -> click on Definitions 

An activity defines the sequential order of starting a set of tasks that needs to be run by a partner. In the activity definition phase, Sponsor Administrators can create new activities to be completed by their Partners. They can also export activity definitions from one instance and import the activity definition to another instance of IBM PEM.

 Templates: To navigate to Templates Click on Activities -> click on Templates 

An activity dialog template can be used as a shortcut when you want to create an activity dialog with similar content to an existing activity dialog. To reuse an entire activity, you can use the Save As action on the Activity Definitions page. To share activities between PEM instances, you can use the export / import capability. 

Property Description 
Name Setting up new UI Dialog creation. 
Type  IF we take API as template it will show as API. If we are taking UI as template it will take UI 
Actions Can perform actions like view, Edit, Delete 
Filter by Type – Closed/ Started Can view Templates with status like Closed/ Started using filter option. 
By status  By status will give the list either by drafted one or by final version 
Search by name We can Search the records by selected name. 

 Monitoring: To navigate to Monitoring Click on Activities -> click on Monitoring 

Is to check the upgrade software to the latest version for users. System Administrators or Sponsor Users can view the details about the container such as the image expiration days, server version, and database version. 

Property Description 
Name Can able to view partner rollout names. 
Status Status Indication of Started/Closed. 
Not Started We can able to see status indication of task not started 
Started We can able to see status indication of task started 
Completed We can able to see status indication of task completed. 
Sponsor Action We can able to see status indication of task Sponsor Action. 
Start date We can able to see status indication of task start date. 
Email Status Email status Indication of Sent/Failed. 
Actions Can perform actions like View details, add partners, Close activity, Resend Email. 
Filter by Status– Closed/ Started Can view rollout partner with status like Closed/Started. 
By status By status will give the list either by drafted one or by final version 
Search by name We can Search the records by selected name. 

 My Activities: It is to view and manage activities done before like what task are been in pending and on which task we have been worked before. 

Property Description 
Name Name represent an activity Name 
Status We can able to see status Indication of Started/Sponsor Action. 
Name of Company Can able to view partners organization name. 
Actions We can perform actions like Start Activity, View partner details. 

As we are done with the above navigation we can conclude with Activities. 

Library: To navigate to Files Click on Library -> click on Files 

In library we are having list of files with the total details like on what date and who is the owner of that file. We can also download files from actions. 

Property Description 
Name Can able to view all uploaded file with their names. 
Owner Can able to view file Owner name. 
Category Can able to view file with category whether like Activity/Logo.  
Encrypted  Can able to know the status of encrypted file as Yes/No. 
Virus Scan status IF any specific scan we will keep scan enabled else by default it will be Scan disabled 
Type Type will have type of data  
Upload Date We can able to see status indication of file Upload date. 
File Size (KB) File size in KB 
Actions Can perform actions like downloading a required file. 
Search By name We can Search the records by selected name. 
Filter by Category Activity/Logo? Can view files with status like Activity/Logo using category filter option. 

 As we are done with the above navigation we can conclude with Library. 

Settings: As soon as we click on settings we will be navigated to settings page where we can see Attributes, API Configuration, Certificates, Groups, Custom Fields, Scheduler Configuration as below. 

Attributes: To navigate to certificates Click on Settings-> click on Attributes 

Attributes help us group partners that share common criteria. For example, we can create an attribute for a country or region and assign the attribute to all partners in the country or region. The Sponsor Administrator can create attributes. 

We can create attributes with the Attributes option of the Settings menu. You can assign an attribute to a partner from the Attributes page, or assign attributes as part of an activity, by using an Attribute Task in the Task Flow Designer. 

Property Description 
Name In the name filed, Enter the name of the attribute. 
Description Description field enter a brief description for the attribute name. 
Actions Sponsor Administrator can edit, view, delete and Assign/Remove the attribute. 
Create Attributes can be created by the Sponsor Administrator. Attribute values must be unique. Attributes are visible only to the sponsor organization 
Search by Name Search by name is to search and filter the attribute names. 
Filter by Type – Sponsor Only Filter by type is to list the attribute task that sponsor only to perform. 

 API Configuration: To navigate to certificates Click on Settings-> click on API Configuration 

Sponsor Administrators can create configurations for using REST APIs with IBM PEM. These configurations are used to integrate the Sponsor organization’s API servers with IBM PEM. These API configurations are used when API calls are added to activities. 

Sponsor Administrators can set up tasks to call REST APIs. When the partner runs an activity with an API dialog, the response from the API is passed to the API server in the sponsor’s organization. 

We can map API responses to custom fields for a partner and map API responses to XSLT input for a partner task, sponsor task, or a system task. 

Property  Description  
Create Sponsor Administrators can create configurations for using REST APIs with IBM PEM. 
Name Enter a name for the API that is unique across the company. This name must be entered when a Sponsor user sets up an activity to call the API. 
Protocol Select the protocol to use. For https protocol, you must upload a certificate. If we are using http, the password is not encrypted during the REST API call. 
Host Enter the domain that is used to call the API. 
Port Enter a valid port number to access the API in the host or domain. 
Actions Actions filed is to edit or view protocol, host, port and name details. 

Certificates: To navigate to certificates Click on Settings-> click on Certificates

Here we can able to see the type of certificate details with its expiration date. We can also Import and export and delete those certificates through performing actions. 

Property  Description 
Alias Alias of a certificate 
Type Type to know the kind of certificate ex: CA, Trusted. 
Subject DN Subject domain given inside certificate 
Issuer DN issuer Domain name given inside certificate 
Expiration Date Certificate expiration date 
Actions Actions where we can either delete or we can export to other environment. 
Import Import is uploading certificate on type of certificate. 
Filter by Type – CA/Trusted Filter by Type – CA/Trusted is to list out the certificates based the type of certificate. 

Groups: To navigate to Groups Click on Settings-> click on Groups 

A Sponsor Administrator can create a logical grouping of partners with attribute values within and across attribute types. The group can then be used to roll out activities to the selected list of partners. 

We can create a group on the Groups page by clicking Create. To edit or deactivate a group, select the group and right-click on the arrow in the Actions column, and choose Edit or Deactivate. 

Property  Description 
Create Sponsor Administrators can create groups of partners in order to roll out activities and campaigns to a group of partners with common attributes. 
Name In the name field, enter the name of the group. 
Trading Partner Name of the trading partner 
Status Status to know the success and fail of the group process. 
Actions Actions field is to view, edit, deactivate the groups. 
Filter by Status – Active/Inactive Filter by status- Active/ Inactive is to list out the groups based on their status. 

 Custom Fields: To navigate to Custom Fields Click on Settings-> click on Custom Fields 

We can assign a custom field to a partner to assign a unique ID to the partner. This unique ID, when used with a REST API in an activity, can enable the activity to extract partner-specific information from a third-party system. 

We can also define a custom field task in an activity. When the activity is run, it can map the responses from a third-party API into custom field values and assign the custom field values to the partner. This is done by adding a Custom Fields task to the activity

Create We can create a custom field that can be added to IBM PEM partners. After we create the field, it can be added to partners. One use is to identify the partner in a third-party system. 
Name In the name field, enter a name for the custom field 
Type Type field is to appropriate type for the custom field like sponsor, division, both. 
Status Status to know whether the custom field is Active or Inactive. 
Actions Actions field is to view, edit, deactivate the groups. 
Filter by Status – Active/Inactive Filter by status- Active/ Inactive is to list out the custom fields based on their status. 
Filter by Type – Both/Division/Sponsor Filter by Type – Both/Division/Sponsor is to list out the custom fileds based on their type. 

 Scheduler Configuration: To navigate to Scheduler Configuration Click on Settings-> click on Scheduler Configuration 

We can configure the scheduler parameters to check for expiring certificates. We can Update the scheduler parameters based on which the scheduler agent when run retrieves the list of expiring certificates and rolls out an activity for the partners to update them and we can view the scheduler parameters that are configured. 

Property  Description 
Name In the name field, the update certificate scheduler name is displayed. 
Scheduling Interval (In days) In the Scheduling Interval, specify the scheduling interval in days to run the scheduler agent for identifying the certificates that are scheduled to expire. 
Enable Select the Enable check box to run the scheduler agent and to retrieve the list of expiring certificates. Uncheck the option to disable the scheduler agent. 
Actions Actions filed is to edit or view the scheduling interval. 

As we are done with the above navigation we can conclude with Settings.
